An experience that leaves no doubt

It is absolutely imperative that we as believers have an experience with Jesus that leaves no doubt.  In the first Pentecost in Exodus 19, God revealed Himself to His people in a huge way!  His presence descended onto Mount Sinai with an earthquake, smoke covering the mountain, speaking with a voice like a trumpet, and with thunder & lightning.  God was getting their attention!  He was sanctifying a people that would be the vehicle through which Jesus, the Messiah, would come to the world.  He was giving His people an experience that left no doubt.  It is made very clear that only Moses and Aaron could come up to the mountain to meet with God.  The people could not even touch the foot of the mountain or they would die.  They had limited access.

In Acts 2, the 120 believers in the Upper Room tarried at the command of Jesus (Acts 1) to wait for the promise of the Father…to be endued with power.  Notice that there is no warning given to only come “so far” this time.  No barrier.  No limitations.  When Jesus died on the cross, the wall of separation was removed and we, believers on the Lord Jesus, gained access into ALL of the blessings & benefits of God.  Just as God was sanctifying a people that would be the vehicle through which Jesus, the Messiah, would come to the world in the Old Testament, through the baptism of the Holy Ghost God sanctifies a people who become the vehicle through which Jesus is shown to this world.

He does this through an experience that leaves no doubt.  When the believers left the Upper Room that day, there was no doubt they had been touched, and changed, by the power of God.  We must have this experience!  This experience gives us the defining difference that the world must see.  Through an experience that leaves no doubt a lost world comes in contact with the living Jesus.  I admonish you to cry out to God for a fresh Pentecostal experience…that leaves no doubt!
