Rivers of Revival
Isaiah 41, verses 18-20 (AMP): “I will open rivers on the bare heights, and fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the acacia, the myrtle, and the wild olive; I will set the cypress in the desert, the plane tree and the pine tree together, that men may see and know and consider and understand together that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.”
In the past several years we have experienced a drought in the Pentecostal Church. People everywhere have been totally engrossed in their own lives and taken over by the things of this world. We as a people have been overly impressed with the gadgets and gimmicks of this world. The awe and wonder of Jesus and His incredible power have taken a back seat.
However, I am very encouraged with what I am seeing in our churches across America. I have noticed that so many are crying out for Revival. I am also noticing that many churches are in continual prayer meetings and extended revival meetings. There seems to be a shaking and a turning to the only solution that we have: a move of the Holy Ghost.
This world is a desert and the lives of people are literally desert lands. We must contend for rivers of revival to overflow in every part of our lives and every ministry of our churches. Without it, we are destitute, impoverished, and choking for fresh water. If we are to reach this culture, we must have the supernatural! There is no alternative. I believe that God is sending us a wave of revival, flooding us with rivers of His glory.
I am personally believing God for such a powerful manifestation of His Spirit that no man can manipulate or take the credit for it. All that can be said is “the heavens opened and the Spirit of God did this”! The song in my heart today is the old hymn “Revive Us Again”.
Revive us again, fill each heart with Thy love
May each soul be rekindled with fire from above
Hallelujah, Thine the glory
Hallelujah, Amen
Hallelujah, Thine the glory
Revive us again!
